Considering most of the people are ghosts, I’m not overly surprised.
Hey now, don’t go blaming us.

Her impression? Yeah, group therapy sucked. They hadn’t even discussed important stuff and she still felt unesasy. She had almost missed her therapist. “I don’t know. I guess it’s cool like that.” She had no idea what else could be done, nor wanted to give it much thought. When she heard Hunter’s suggestion her eyes widened, and her head snapped to look at him. “What??? No he can’t keep coming? That’s against the rules isn’t it?? Come on Hunter, you’re a big boy, you don’t need daddy to hold your hand!” If William kept coming, she was pretty sure she wouldn’t open her mouth even to say her name.
William glared at her, pressing his shoulder against Hunter’s. She was not allowed to fuck up Hunter’s confidence in him, especially if it made him more comfortable. ”If I want to come, it’s not like Strider can stop me.” He pointed out bluntly, not even bothering to look over at the doctor. ”So I’ll be there as long as he wants. I’m capable of playing nice in this room, so whatever your problem is with me being here, I suggest you get over it.” Okay, maybe he was being slightly overprotective. But he was firmly locked into Big Brother Mode right now, and fuck if Marcy was going to get a chance to hurt Hunter.
He nodded as he sat back down, hearing each of them talk. He already knew what had landed them here, of course, but simple stuff like introductions always served to break the ice at first. He scratched his wrist, remembering he had forgotten to wear his watch this morning. “Very well. Now, in the same order, I would like you to share your impression of Belfry so far. How do you find the doctors, the other patients, the facilities etc. You can answer that too, William, if you’d like.” That was probably not the best idea, since he was well aware of his opinions, at least on the doctors. Hopefully, for Hunter’s sake he would try to focus on his good experiences. He had to have some after all these years, right?
At first, William hadn’t really been paying attention. Instead, he was waggling his fingers at Regina in a little wave of acknowledgement, and eyeing Sam’s cheek and wondering if he should talk to him after this. Maybe? Hm. But then he realized his name had been spoken, and mentally reviewed what Strider had said as he glanced at him. Eyebrows rising in a ‘sure you wanna do that?’ expression, he settled back in a manner too languid to be anything but sarcastic.
But then William stopped. This was supposed to be helping Hunter, and the others too. It wasn’t just a place for him to be a smart ass. Had it been just him and the Doc, he’d been all over it. But instead he sighed, darting a glance at Hunter. His shoulders went limp as the answer drained from him. ”Doctors… they vary, and a lot veer straight into asshole territory. The nurses aren’t worth knowing ‘cause they’ll be gone before you can get used to them. And holy fuck do I need a change of scenery from this place, because hell if it doesn’t become a prison after too long. But the people are good. The patients. Yeah, you get assholes, but it’s like… it’s like we’ve all had the shit kicked out of us in someway or another, and we learned something from it, right? So you get people who are interesting and who have some serious opinions and seem more accepting, you know?” Shrugging, he stared at the opposite wall, done talking.
